22 days of gratitude and giveaways! Days 20-22!! Happy Birthday Tracy!

Today its Hello from Kyla in Australia, Tracy's assistant/ creative side kick !  Tracy is having way too much fun in San Sebastian, Barcelona with her family....that the birthday celebrations began early...Last night! More on that juice later ; ) .....  Today, I think its the most perfect time to let the birthday girl know what I am most grateful for and have been grateful for since 2013 ... you, Tracy!   {Tracy, Mt Urgall, Birthday eve beginnings ; ) } Tracy, I got to know as a young teenager doing her art lessons in her backyard studio and as a family friend.  That was the first time I was fortunate enough to brush paths with this bright eyed, dreamy woman! I think we met at a like minded place then, despite being 20 years-plus apart in age and I was just a shy teenager. But i think even then; this teacher and artist planted a beautiful seed in me, that you can pursue art as a way of being and interacting in the world.  We then re-con

22 days of gratitude and giveaways! Days 10-12

Its Kyla here today, Tracy’s assistant,  having a turn at gratitude goddess, as Tracy is   deeply immersed in her Paint Mojo retreat in Durfort, France. As Tracy finds an abundance of inspiration and beauty on her travels through the streets of France with her students. I have been grateful for simple abundance, in my own backyard, literally...  Isn't it sometimes true, that you only realise how grateful you are for the life you lead, when you go away and come back. Let me explain..... As a young lady that lives in a small coastal town, I sometimes seek new inspiration and a splash of a new culture/s. So I often take a trip to my nearest city, Sydney (Australia).  It always opens my romantic eyes and mind, in just the way they need to be opened and gives me time on the train commute to reflect on a hundred new idea's and inspirations, but what brightens me up most after the flash of city lights, is that I am

22 days of gratitude and giveaways- day six and seven

Keeping it very simple today my sweets. Woke up with a bit of a wobbly tummy this morning so I'm grateful it seems to be passing and not getting worse.  We spent the afternoon driving from the coast to Revel, just outside of Durfort, the tiny village I will be teaching in for the next week. Currently I am lying with mi amor on the banks of the lac du St Ferriere after a little dip to take the edge of the 38 deg C heat. Here is my current view, looking up... Looking forward.....                    And Looking down No bells and whistles today, grateful for it all, even the bit where the sat nav stopped talking and I failed in my job as auxiliary navigator and we had to drive an extra 46 kms to the next off ramp, and i tried to get the stupid Tom Tom to work and it kept overheating (and so did I) until I wanted to throw it out the window!  Grateful even for that coz it makes me recognize how much sweeter moments like this really are.  TWO WINNERS TODAY TO MAKE UP FOR MY SUNDAY OFF....

22 days of gratitude and giveaways- day four and five

Bonjour mes amis! Just a small post today as it is the weekend and I am in France with mi amor after all for the first time.... plus I actually wrote this whole blog last night and POOF!! It vanished...just like that! Oh well, what can we do?? I want you to know that I am writing this post with a French accent in my head so you must read it that way too d'accord? :) Grateful for these little heart rocks collected in Wales. The beaches there have the most I've ever seen!   THIS view from the window of our budget hotel the first night here~ the beautiful Chateau de Carcassonne!!  THIS view from our VERY BUDGET "chalet" our last night in Wales...we actually worried it might fall down the hill from the obvious termite damage AND its the first place we've ever stayed where the shower head was missing! But the views...oh my!! THIS perfect vista through an ancient window at the ruins of Tintagel Castle in Devon to the wi

22 days of gratitude and giveaways- day three

So grateful today to be able to move my body and also to have a man who appreciates and even  encourages my dorkiness. "Give me your best Kate Bush Wuthering Heights dance" He says,  and so I do.... So where did we leave off yesterday?  Oh right, I was going to tell you a story...... Off in the distance we could see a ruin And beyond that, a tall Celtic cross and a lighthouse..... A stumbled upon scene We had no idea.... We come to this sign and we learn about Dwynwen, the Welsh patron Saint of lovers who lived here on this land some 1600 years ago as a hermit.  Reading her story I feel infinitely grateful for the freedom that many more women now have over their own destinies although I know that there is still much room for change...... Dwynwen lived during the 5th century and legend has it that she was one of the prettiest of Brychan Brycheiniog's 24 daughters. Dwynwen fell in love with a prince called Maelon Dafo
